Phillips Chiropractic was formed in 2004 by Dr. Jammie D. Phillips. Jammie was born and raised in the area and received his chiropractic degree from Cleveland College in Kansas City, Mo. Dr. Phillips had worked in Dodge City in an inpatient rehabilitation facility and has a strong focus on the rehabilitation aspect of health care.
Dr. Phillips then expanded services when he moved to Phillips Chiropractic’s current location at 2200 Summerlon Circle, Suite D. The main expanded service with adding Physical Therapy Services with a full physical therapy staff. Dr. Phillips has seen the need for both disciplines in the area due to the increasing population. While this new business set up was successful, there continued to be a need for more services for the area’s diverse health care needs.
Durable Medical Equipment, mostly in the form of braces and orthotics, was added, along with custom splinting of the upper extremities. Advanced education for evidence-based treatments in both chiropractic and physical therapy, was also added.
As the business grew, more professional staff were added to meet the needs of the community. Phillips Chiropractic and Physical Therapy currently has multiple chiropractors, physical therapists, and supporting team to help those in pain or need to rehabilitate from injuries or surgeries. The new branch of Phillips Durable Medical Equipment now services most of southwest Kansas for most of the equipment needs for orthopedic injuries.
